Brighton Toy and Model Museum

A fun world of toys, trains and more!

While K is at Nursery, I always try to do something different with J. We generally go for our outings during the weekends when K is at home during the weekends so J and I haven't doing much in the weekdays except for food shopping, running errands and going to the Level and Saunders park for some outdoor time.

And a post-pandemic Brighton isn't easy because I always have to look at websites, email or call and check if places are open or it'll be a wasted journey. One fun way we have gotten around was taking the bus. On a weekday morning it isn't as busy as taking it in the evenings. And we managed to get a special kids BusID for J in which his ticket fare to anywhere is just 50p. So that helped a lot in us getting to places and also helps the bus companies run.

One outing I saw was the Brighton Toy and Model museum. Honestly, it isn't a big museum and quite a hold in the wall, being right under the station. But it is a fun and quirky museum with a fabulous old train track with really intricately-designed miniature toy pieces. It was interesting for Josha because there was a Lego figurine hunt and he got a certificate if he found all the Lego figurines!

It was really interesting and fun and a new and quick way to explore if you ever had a bored child and wanted to see some place new!
